Thrice - The Artist and the Ambulance. (whole album, start to finish)
And goddamnit, I've got a bottle of wine again. This brings back so many memories, except for the fact that I can't wind these speakers up loud enough to do the music justice - I miss my amp, dammit! And a four-speaker set that made the fucking FLOOR shake!
Don't ever become a postgraduate, kids. You'll end up looking back at your undergraduate years and remembering so much of it that was just SO much fun. God, it was good... wine, films, and evenings that only ended when we ran out of drink.
Don't ever graduate, thinking about it. I could have failed a year or two, could have had another crack at it and done it all again.
This song (title track) has some fucking ACE lyrics later on, though. So applicable.
Aaaah, shit, I wish I was back in my paradise on the top floor of Goodricke. Just debating whether I'd done enough work to merit opening another bottle of wine, and going and seeing what Scott had planned for the film for the evening. The only worry being running out of Coke, and his DVD player being an arse. And a lake for the empty bottles. It feels weird drinking wine and not being able to throw the empties in the lake.
Enough.

That sounds really good. I've got a bottle of wine in the corner. I really fancy a film and some pizza. But noone is around, and I can't drink alone. Plus I've got work to do.
I've got the amp, five speakers and a subwoofer to play with, but if I put it too loud, the complaints will start, and I don't want to fall out with the hall. Looking forward to going back home so I can remind myself just how nice it is to pump it up a bit
Currently playing is (on the radio, I stress) Nickelback: Feeling too Damn Good

Yes you can drink alone - fuckit, who cares? I am, I don't care... It's only a problem when you are depending on drinking alone and can't actually drink around others.
Screw the hall. I lived in halls for my last year, when I met Scott and the wine evenings developed. Wind the volume up, and you'll meet people that hear it and like the music. And a 5.1 system implies one of those cheapo things. Get a proper amp and some decent speakers, man! The local pawn shop (notice spelling) usually have some...
Nickelback - that song has the immortal line "we gotta make love just one more time in the shower" - don't knock it till you've tried it, kids!

Yes, I can drink alone, but I'll save it for tomorrow. Sound system is tied in with my computer actually. Limiting part is actually the sound card: still the onboard one. May look into it some more. It's not bad, but my home speakers are so much fun. Couldn't fit them in the car.
I like Nickelback as well (for the most part: didn't find how you remind me too good). I think I have most of their CDs, even Curb, their debut, before they went to Roadrunner records. Favorite has to be Worthy to Say, on "The State"

The phone next door... now silence... a door opening... footsteps fading away... this doesn't really work without music, does it?
