Surely it matters - becaus of the eggs! I have a really bug cup which would probably need 2 eggs... Sorry, being pedantic I'm not used to working in funny american measures... ;D

lol, its how I was taught to cook because I was taught as a Guide and at camp, where we didn't have scales, I coffee mug is what I use and thats about the right size

I never got to make muffins at Guide camp! The best we got was mini pancakes with a baked bean tin lid, a paperclip, a wooden peg, an almond and one match which the guiders would light for us. And some pancake mix of course.

We make them for breakfast! Of course it means getting up far too early..... but hot gooey muffins are v nice and almost make up for it!!!

gooey, as in the chocolate bits inside being still melty, but generally, no they should be, you should be able to insert a skewer, or anything else long and thin, like the handle of a spoon into the muffin and it should come out clean except for melted chocolate!

That's my general test for cakes, which was why I was confused by gooyness. But melted bits inside makes sense, so I understand now! Might attempt some at the weekend, if there's sufficient demand...
