Hello to all! I sincerly hope you all enjoy the upcoming year. I plan to do everything I can to make it more enjoyable for you. My job is to make sure that you have fun both inside and outside of the shooting range. A part of this involves finding out what you all like to do, so I've opened up this thread for discussion of what socials you guys think would be fun and to also get a general feel if my social ideas would work or not.
Please note, that although I do much appreciate whatever input any individual member of the club has to offer, I cannot make decisions about socials based on a democratic vote, as this would make planning socials take way to long, so at the end of the day I have to make the final decision myself.
That being said, I can't really make any decisions without knowing what people want, so please do use this thread to let me know.

Socials in the pipeline for the upcoming year
Welcome Social - This Friday, 7.30 in The Swim Inn
Halloween Bar Crawl - I plan to repeat all three of last years awards, so get you creative juices flowing on costume ideas and chocolatety goodness could be yours. Last years bar crawl was mainly through Crookes/Broomhill, but I think we have less people living in the area this year, so would a West Street bar crawl be prefered? Also are people ok with October 31st, which is a Wednesday this year?
Other random bar crawls - Some themed bar crawls spread out through the year. I think Kathy did two others last year, besides Halloween. Was this a good amount for you barcrawlers?
Club Meals - Christmas, Easter and End of Year Formal again. Opinions on places to eat much appriciated.
Film Night - If I can book the Satpal Ram room at some point, we could have an evening watching DVDs or if I can get people to aggree on a film (and there is actually something good out), we could go to the cinema.
Laser Quest - Does anyone know if there is one nearby? I think this looks like a lot of fun, but would require a lot of planning, so I would like to know if people would be interested. (Basicly you have an electronic gun and get to shoot at each other.)
Ceilidhs - How many people are planinng on Ceilidhing this year? Is it worth organising club trips to Ceilidh Soc again this year? I understand the Ceilidhs were very popular last year.
Alton Towers - I'm not sure if this one is possible to organise or not. I was hoping to do it over the summer, but there weren't too many people around. What time of the year do people think would be best for this one? This is another idea that would require planning and also drivers.
Bowling - Kathy said this wasn't very sucessful last year, so I think I'll only repeat it if there is a particular call for it.
---------------------------------------------------
Thoses are the ideas off the top of my head, I will post more if I think of any. Please post and let me know what you think or post any ideas of your own.
Please note that I personally have health limitations, so if a social idea is overly energetic it may require me to deligate the running of that social to someone else, though I am happy to do the planning.
