I will be, once I get access to a decent kitchen. In halls at the moment. There's a microwave in the kitchen, and that's about it. Oh, I tell a lie. There's a hot plate as well. Wow

Well as those who were about, and had both cakes on Thursday week you'll know one of the two cakes I tried worked, and the other didn't!
Heres the one that did........
Raisin Applesauce Biscotti
Ingredients • 1/4 cup butter or margarine • 1/3 cup sugar • 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed • 1/4 cup applesauce • 1 cup all purpose flour • 1 teaspoon baking powder • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon • 1 egg • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract • 1/4 cup chopped nuts • 1/4 cup raisins Topping • 1 teaspoon sugar • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Method
1) Put butter in small micro proof mixing bowl. Cook on Hi for 1 minute. Stir in sugars and applesauce. 2) Add flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. 3) Beat in egg. 4) Stir in vanilla, nuts, and raisins. 5) Spread batter in an 8 inch square micro proof baking dish. 6) Cook on HI for 4 minutes. Rotate dish one quarter turn twice during cooking. (if your dish doesn't rotate in the microwave) 7) Cook on simmer LO for 2 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from microwave and sprinkle with mixture of topping ingredients. 8) Cool thoroughly and cut into squares.
Makes about 16 squares
Be warned!!! It needs to look right, not be right by time....... These are based on an 800Watt microwave that works well............. DO THE TESTS!!!! i.e. the inserted has to be clean!

Take one microwave dish. Fill with lumps of chocolate. Place in microwave. Wait for the carnage to unfold.
Works equally well with Ragu.
Well, it does when I'm in the kitchen, anyway...

Taken from a book about uni my mum bought me (dont think she read this page tho' ;-) )
Half a teaspoon of salt Three quarters of a cup of flour one cup of sugar three ounces of chocolate half a teaspoon of baking powder half a cup of butter 3 eggs 5 grams of powdered hash
Melt the chocolate and the butter together, add the eggs, sugar and hash. Beat the mixture until creamy. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together and add to the mixture. Pour into a baking tin and bake for 30 mins at 375 F.
Allow to cool Eat Giggle
Also, where did the drinks recipes thread go? I wanted to try some of them.
Heres one anyway - The Flaming Gisp
Pint glass, half full with ice and slices of fruit. Add 100mls of vodka, 50mls of Stones Green Ginger wine, top up with lemonade. Stir. Pour blackcurrant cordial onto top.
For real flaminess, add a few drops of tabasco sauce ;D

I generally fail at cooking so I just make pizza! (apologies if this has been posted before)
For base: Flour salt/pepper olive/sunflower oil water
Then: Bolognaise sauce/ragu/some tomota-based sauce grated cheese (I use edam because it's cheap and cheerful) Whatever topping(s) you want herbs?
For a medium-sized pizza...
Put 3 very heaped tablespoons of flour into a bowl with a little salt and pepper and add 2-3 tablespoons of oil. Pour in enough water so that when stirred the mixture makes a sloppy ball of dough. Add more water/flour for too dry/wet mixes.
Transfer to a flour-coated surface and need flour into the dough until it is no longer wet but vaguely spongey.
Roll into a thin disc (adding flour all the while) and use a spoon to cover the base with your sauce. if you're in doubt as to if you have enough sauce add more.
sprinkle grated cheese over and add your toppings. Finish with a little bit more cheese and herbs if you're into that kind of thing and popo in the oven for, like, 15 minutes of something.

Cool! I am sooo making proper pizza this weekend! These are my usual recipes:
Quality Pizza Ingredients: Gibbon Car Petrol Money
Method: Ensure Gibbon is in the house and that his car has adequat (sp?) petrol to get to broomhill and back.
Annonunce in his hearing you would like some pizza, and specify a topping
Give him money when he gets back from Oasis
Home made pizza substitute. Ingredients: Bread Tomato paste Cheese
Toast the bread, cover with tomato paste and slice the cheese on top.
Stick in the microwave for 1min.
I think yours will work out tastier and /or cheaper!

It's definately cheaper (and will allow Gibbon to laze at home) although I'm not sure about tastier. However ever there is a strange feeling of pride when you realise you'd made something vaguely skillful and yet haven't killed anyone/set anything on fire etc.
